ODOT Starting Construction On ADA Curb Ramps

from Newberg City Hall

Starting later this year and through 2027, you’ll see ODOT in the Newberg area working on over 400 curb ramps to ensure each one meets ADA standards. Most corners only need minor work or signs installed but some may require a full rebuild.

When construction starts, you can expect:

      • Lane and shoulder closures as needed.
      • Flaggers helping direct traffic as needed.
      • Noise and debris – saw cutting can be loud and dusty!

Important alert for basement owners:
If you own a business or property with a basement near our work areas, please let ODOT know! Saw cutting to bring curb ramps to ADA standards requires extra care around basement structures.

We want to coordinate this work with you, please contact the project manager:

Michelle Gauthier [email protected] | Phone is 503-509-0070

Visit the project webpage to find out where you can expect to see ODOT crews and learn more about the work they're doing: https://direc.to/nx9T
